ANGELIC ACADEMY OF DANCE

For the more serious dancer, Angelic Academy offers our award-winning, nationally ranked competition team! Auditions take place in the spring of each year with makeup auditions available by request. There is a $25 fee to audition which goes directly towards our annual professional team photoshoot.

We have two segments of our competition team – Star and Stellar. The Star team competes locally 2-3 times per year and is a novice level team. The Stellar team competes 4-5 times per year, both locally and throughout the state of Florida, and attends nationals during the summer. There are novice, intermediate, and advanced level dancers on the Stellar team.

Competition team members are required to train year-round in all ballet and technique classes designated for their assigned level. Choreography begins in August and team rehearsals begin in September. The amount of required hours per week varies based on age, level, and team.

2025-2026 COMPETITION TEAM AUDITIONS

Auditions for the 2025-2026 competition team will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. Please use dancer’s age as of 1/1/26 and arrive 30 minutes prior to your designated audition time to sign in and warm up. CLICK HERE to download and print the required audition form ahead of time.

Ages 5-10 | 9:30AM-10:30AM (for novice dancers)
Ages 8-12 | 10:45AM-12:00PM (+ tap 12:15PM-12:30PM)
Ages 13-15 | 12:45PM-2:15PM (+ tap 2:30PM-3:00PM)
Ages 16 & Up | 3:15PM-4:45PM (+ tap 2:30PM-3:00PM)
If you are unable to attend your designated audition time, please reach out to schedule a makeup.

Audition fee is $25 per dancer (cash, check, and Venmo accepted) and goes directly towards our annual professional team photoshoot.

Dancers should wear all black, fitted dance attire with hair slicked back in a bun or ponytail. Please wear turning shoes of choice and, if interested, bring tap shoes.

COMPETITION TEAM MONTHLY TUITION

Competition team members receive special unlimited monthly prices based on their age and level, as well as discounted rates for families with additional siblings. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Payments should be made by the 7th of each month in order to avoid late fees. There is a $25 annual registration fee as well as a $75-$100 biannual recital fee (winter and spring) which includes unlimited tickets to the shows. All competition entry fees, master class/convention fees, costumes, and performance accessories are additional expenses and may vary based on the amount of routines in which your dancer competes.
